Common layers include single corrugated (three layers), double corrugated (five layers) and triple corrugated (seven layers). Single corrugated boxes are light and economical, suitable for general commodity packaging; double corrugated boxes are stronger and suitable for transporting heavy or fragile items; triple corrugated boxes are used for packaging under extreme conditions, such as large machinery or high-value equipment.

Foreign trade companies usually choose the appropriate number of layers based on product characteristics and transportation distance. For example, electronic products may use double corrugated boxes to enhance compression resistance, while clothing products may use single corrugated boxes to reduce costs.
