Number Flashcards are designed around three core objectives: safety and compliance, clear visuals, and durability and portability. The entire process follows international children's product safety standards such as ASTM F963 and CE, and is suitable for children aged 2-7, while also taking into account the flexibility of mass production for export and small-batch customization.

Preparation Phase: This phase directly determines the accuracy of the product content and the consistency of its appearance, and is crucial for both large-scale and small-scale customization. Based on customer needs, complete the layout design. Core content must include numerical symbols, quantity visualization elements, multilingual labeling, and bold font sizes (≥24 points) for numbers. Images should occupy 40%-50% of the card area to avoid text crowding. Ensure that the content logic of different versions (0-10 basic, 0-20 advanced, etc.) matches the cognitive patterns of the corresponding age groups. Standard die-cutting molds are 5×3 inches (12.7×7.6cm) and 6×4 inches (large size for toddlers). For irregularly shaped die-cutting molds, custom molds are made separately, suitable for high-end gift products.

Raw material selection: This step is crucial for the production of Number Flashcards, directly impacting product quality. Generally, 250-350g/m² food-grade white cardboard/grey-backed white card is selected, ensuring no fluorescent agents, no heavy metals, and a folding endurance of ≥50 times. Soy-based environmentally friendly ink is used, which is odorless, has strong adhesion, a color difference ΔE≤2, and the printed pattern does not fade, meeting European and American environmental standards. For lamination, matte, glossy, or erasable lamination can be selected, with a lamination thickness of 25-30μm, free of bubbles and peeling. Matte lamination is anti-reflective, glossy lamination is dirt-resistant, and erasable lamination supports repeated writing.

For mass production, printing and lamination are core production processes, and every detail must be handled with care.

Printing process: For small-batch orders, digital printing can be selected, which does not require plate making, has a short proofing cycle, and supports quick adjustments to personalized content. For large-batch orders, offset printing can be selected, which has strong color stability, low unit printing cost, and is suitable for export wholesale to carry volume. Install positioning and registration devices to ensure that the front and back printing are aligned; control printing pressure to prevent paper jams and deformation.

Lamination: Since the main target audience of Number Flashcards is children, lamination is also very important. A hot lamination process is used to press the laminated paper with the printed paper at high temperature, resulting in a stronger bond. Lamination is available in three types: standard, interactive, and premium. We ensure that the lamination is free of bubbles, wrinkles, and edge lifting. After lamination, the paper needs to stand for 12 hours before cutting to ensure that the adhesive layer is cured.

Once the flashcards have their initial design, don't forget to die-cut and round the corners. Use a fully automatic die-cutting machine with a custom die to complete the cutting and corner rounding in one go, ensuring that the size error is ≤ ±0.2mm, the cards in the same batch are the same size, the rounded corners are smooth and burr-free, and there is no stinging sensation when the "finger runs across the edge" test is passed. After die-cutting, manually sort the cards to remove defective products with rough edges or deformation.

The next step is the quality inspection stage for Number Flashcards, which involves checking the printing quality, lamination effect, and whether the size and rounded corners meet the standards. Samples are then subjected to folding resistance tests, and the products are checked to ensure they meet the certification standards of the target market according to the requirements of foreign trade orders. Each batch is accompanied by a quality inspection report.
